overview
A missile, constantly mistaken for a rocket. One destroys everything as you know it, and the other can take you far, far away. Lately, I've been wanting to leave. Staying is no good. I want to get rid of everything, yet I'm praying for something that lasts forever. It's hard to explain.
This is the most time I've spent in a musical project. "chronic" took me around seven to eight months, while this took me a year and a month. I hope it shows. Everything was an agonizing learning process. A decent amount of finished songs were scrapped as I made this. They might show up again later.
This album was fully done with VST instruments apart from the outro to "seams" and the outro to "boy", which were both recorded with my acoustic guitar. The songs were produced, mixed, and sung by me. The mixing might not be perfect, but I still tried my absolute hardest.
I'd like to thank Parannoul in specific for showing me that there's a world beyond what I was doing that's been possible all this time. When I heard "To See The Next Part of the Dream" in 2022 and figured out that all the songs were done digitally, It clicked for me that the side of music I thought was impossible for someone like me to create has been sitting there all this time. The feedback he gave me in some of the tracks was also greatly appreciated. I'd also like to thank my friends "homelocked", "cecily", "jack" and "kuru" for all the support and advice they gave me midst making this record.
For those who want to know what's next after this, I don't know. Maybe I'll rap again. Maybe I'll make another rock album, this time using my real guitars. Maybe i'll make folk. Honestly, I just want to one day be able to listen to whatever that ends up being and think "this is pretty good". Thank you for sticking with me throughout all my weird musical changes. Thank you for listening.
